We’ve been investing heavily in the studio, and over this last year we’ve been adding a whole new range of equipment to the Natural Records setup.
The focus is clear: great microphones, great analog electronics, and great recording chains.
We’ve expanded our collection of high-end microphones and adding carefully selected vintage and NOS equipment, including new additions to our 1176 collection, Pultec style EQs, Tegeler Creme, Summit Audio EQs, Neve preamps and more.
But it’s not only about pristine, high-end recordings.
We’re also building a complete lo-fi recording chain — because sometimes the most beautiful sound comes from limitations, imperfections, saturation, tape and the character of older recording technology.
That means even more possibilities to shape a recording from the very first microphone all the way through the mix.

– More outboard.
– More microphones.
– More tape and saturation.
– More hybrid routing.
– And more character.
Our goal isn’t to collect expensive equipment for the sake of it. Every piece has to bring something musically useful to the table.
From clean and detailed high-end recordings to warm, saturated, dirty and deliberately lo-fi sounds — Natural Records is becoming a place where we can choose the entire recording character, rather than simply recording what comes out of the converters.
We’re taking the studio further into the analog + hybrid world.
