American singer-songwriter and guitarist Peter Ward returns with Hanging on to the Blues, a new collection of ten original songs released by Natural Records on September 25, 2026.

Rooted firmly in the blues tradition but recorded with a fresh, dynamic sound, Hanging on to the Blues puts Ward’s excellent songwriting and guitar playing front and center. The album brings together an extraordinary lineup of musicians who have played a significant role in the American blues scene.

Joining Ward are Ronnie Earl, Duke Robillard, Sugar Ray Norcia, Michael “Mudcat” Ward, Sax Gordon Beadle, and Anthony Geraci, along with Neil Gouvin and Mark Teixeira.

The album was recorded at LakeWest and Wellspring Studios in the United States, with mixing and mastering by producer Bo Brocken of Natural Records in The Netherlands.
