In April 2025, the legendary American blues band Sugar Ray and the Bluetones landed in the small Dutch village of Sibculo, transforming the Natural Records studio into a sanctuary of raw, unfiltered blues. Over three inspired days, the band recorded completely live – no overdubs, no studio polish, just four masters breathing together in the rhythm of the moment.
The result is Blues From Sibculo: a warm, gritty, and deeply honest record that captures the timeless spirit of Chess Records. This is the blues as it was meant to be – spontaneous, soulful, and steeped in decades of experience and emotion.
