New addition to Natural Records: our very own Reverb Chamber!
We’ve reached a special milestone: our Reverb Chamber is officially inaugurated. This adds a unique piece of classic studio technology to our analog and digital workflow.
Underneath our studio is a spacious basement that we’ve converted into a natural reverb chamber. A speaker and two microphones are set up in this chamber.
The process is simple and remarkably effective: We send an unprocessed, mono audio signal to the speaker, let the sound flow into the room, and then record the natural acoustics with the two microphones. This creates an authentic, stereo reverb that we then blend with the original signal.
The result? A warm, organic reverb that can’t be replicated with digital plugins or hardware. This method has been beloved for decades by leading studios—think of the iconic reverb chambers at Abbey Road Studios—where artists like The Beatles and Pink Floyd recorded their albums, and now we can offer this timeless technology to our artists and productions as well.
We’re proud to add a new dimension to the Natural Records sound. Combined with our 16-track Tascam MS16 Tape Recorder, we can now record and mix 100% analog. This technology is also an unparalleled addition to a digital environment.
